Machine Control Specialist – Payne + Dolan | A Walbec Group Company
Self‑motivated, results‑oriented problem‑solver with a desire to be part of our growing engineering and land surveying practice, supporting our projects. Responsibilities
Support machine control system installations and troubleshoot system errors. Perform system repairs, routine maintenance, and software. Read construction plans and understand contract documents. Create 3D digital terrain models from project documents for automated machine control grading equipment. Verify the presence and accuracy of survey control information and perform site calibrations. Set supplemental control and complete level loops. Assemble and transfer all job packets to the field crews. Develop and maintain company standards for AMG to ensure conformance with project plans. Required Skills
Reliable, efficient self‑starter with initiative and a sense of responsibility. Strong communication skills to convey information effectively via telephone, email, written form, and in person. Ability to keep accurate and detailed records and field notes. Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate equipment. Insurable by insurance standards (preferred). Certifications, equipment experience, CDL & CDL endorsement (preferred). Seniority Level
