Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician at our Worcester, MA facility. The Electrical Maintenance Technician role will offer a full-time 40 hour work week, medical benefits, 401K, vacation, and opportunity for upward mobility. The schedule will be 5:30am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday.
The hourly rate for this position is $32.00 - $40.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Job Description
Install, inspect, test, dismantle, repair and maintain a large variety of equipment related to industrial production and building facilities, as well as repair and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. Diagnose electrical and electronic equipment or installations by using prints, tracing and testing circuits for failure. Design control systems including the addition to and/or the deletion of existing control systems. Perform all work in accordance with electrical codes and sound electrical practices. Plan procedures, repairs and maintain various types of industrial and building equipment including heavy and special purpose machines, steam, water, air, and carpentry, cement and related operations involved in repairing and modifying buildings and maintaining grounds. Observe, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical devises in operation to determine the extent of repairs necessary; requisition or make parts, assemble, test and calibrate. Responsibilities
Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S. Assist team in achieving plant and department goals. Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement. Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. General knowledge of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS). Qualifications
Basic (Required) Qualifications: 7 years of industrial manufacturing experience in maintenance, mechanical and electrical fields. High School Diploma/GED required. Must be able to lift parts up to 50 pounds. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (60 mile radius) will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling). Meatronics and industrial Automation troubleshooting experience. Trade or vocational school degree or the equivalent. Experience with CNC machinery and programmable controllers (Allen Bradley preferred). Experience in MIG Welding. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment. Familiar with arc flash procedures. Skills
Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Ability to receive work orders, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, installation prints and verbal instructions to perform work as required. Ability to use small power tools, such as drills, drill presses, and band saw. Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs. Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers. Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings. Knowledge of basic shop math. Ability to read and follow standard work. Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions. Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
