Senior Consultant - Civil Engineering - East Coast A well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join their Environmental team in Raleigh. This role offers a mix of project leadership, technical delivery, and client relationship management across municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will join a collaborative, community-focused team delivering treatment plant, utility, and infrastructure improvement projects for municipalities, and public-sector clients across the Carolinas. The position offers clear progression opportunities, strong visibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on essential public infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead water and wastewater treatment plant and utility infrastructure projects from planning through construction.

Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans.

Serve as the primary client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and communication throughout project delivery.

Provide technical oversight, QA/QC review, and engineering guidance to internal teams.

Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging professional growth and high-quality execution.

Participate in proposal development, fee estimates, and business development efforts with existing and prospective clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.

7+ years of municipal water/wastewater engineering experience.

Strong understanding of design and construction administration for treatment plant and utility projects.

Hydraulic modelling and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.

Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
