About the Role The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the store and for general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Duties include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and executing company operational processes.

Essential Functions

Maintain a safe and secure environment: practice safe behaviors, monitor sales floor, report unsafe conditions, secure building, manage entrance/exit control, check EAS devices, test fire alarms.

Deliver excellent customer service: treat all customers, associates and leaders with respect, demonstrate courtesy, recognize associates.

Represent the brand: professional appearance, enforce dress code, keep store clean and merchandised, manage daily trash removal.

Merchandising: recover, size and markdown merchandise, receive trucks and non‑merchandise deliveries, organize stockroom, assist with floor moves and promotional signage, protect against loss.

Loss Prevention: follow Loss Prevention Awareness Program, maintain PVM system, conduct “Code 50” inspections, protect confidential information.

Front‑End Supervision: train associates on registers, manage lines, control break schedules, ensure equipment works, enforce scanning and bagging best practices.

Fitting Rooms: maintain cleanliness, audit garment tags, ensure go‑back compliance.

Administrative Duties: conduct cash pulls and bank deposits, handle refund and payment approvals, administer payroll, create schedules, perform other duties assigned by Store Manager.

Qualifications & Special Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Fluency in English.

Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.

Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.

Basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements Use all store equipment, stand, walk, move around the store full time, regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop; occasionally push, pull and lift >25 lbs; use janitorial equipment and ladders.
