In the role of
Resident Project Representative II , you'll be responsible for: Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts Maintaining accurate daily records of contractor activities, work performed, labor, equipment, and materials used Reviewing construction materials for contract compliance Tracking quantities and developing pay estimates for acceptance Attending and/or chairing construction progress meetings Observing installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems Identifying nonconforming work, developing punchlists, and ensuring corrections Developing record documentation for engineer review and acceptance Assisting with project audit and closeout Working under the supervision of a Construction Project Manager Supervising and directing junior Resident Project Representatives, Construction Inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification Ability to interpret construction schedules Problem-solving skills and the ability to propose solutions Experience with NYCDEP and/or NYSDOT projects Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience At least 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Understanding of contracts, codes, and laws governing construction Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Teamwork skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related software Excellent communication skills Commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture Our Values HDR is built on collaboration, trust, and community engagement.
