Job Description:
With minimum supervision, performs required measurements and data collection of all purchased and final materials requiring inspection. Communicates nonconforming results to OECO Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Assists with First Article inspections, Customer Source Inspection, and may be certified as Designated Quality Representative. Additional FAA screening may be required. Technician will be part of OECO LLC Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
Essential Functions:
Hand measuring tools, test equipment, office equipment, and related accessories.
Confirms information on accompanying paperwork
Set up and perform complex measurements to verify materials meet inspection characteristics
Inspect parts for conformance with drawings, standards, and workmanship
Perform visual inspections of soldered connections, surfaces, and other parts for damage
Interpret drawings, specifications, and purchasing requirements
Segregate and report non-conforming material using a Quality Notification process
Provide measurement data to aid in disposition of discrepant material
Maintain accurate files, records and logs
Support and participate in internal and customer audits
Train other inspectors as directed
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED. Certified Quality Technician (CRT) or similar certificate is a plus.
Strong math skills required
Blueprint reading and GD&T classes recommended
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years inspection or quality related fields.
Knowledge of assembly drawings, parts lists, revisions, workmanship standards, inspection procedures, work instructions, wiring diagrams
GD&T and CMM experience a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds several times per day
