Quality Control Inspector – Second Shift . The role focuses on inspection and test activities for the SPARC project.

Base pay range:

$30.00/hr – $45.00/hr

What You’ll Do

Conduct dimensional inspection of high‑precision machined components at receiving, in‑process, and pre‑assembly stages.

Execute inspections to required accuracy and prepare detailed inspection reports.

Analyze vendor‑submitted dimensional inspection reports and review/approve inspection and material test reports from vendors.

Support mechanical testing and welding inspection needs and ISO 9001:2015 activities on the shopfloor.

Review blueprints and documentation to ensure appropriate materials are used and specifications are followed.

Interface with technicians on quality issues and help them interpret quality specifications and technical drawings.

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED.

5+ years of advanced mechanical inspection experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance).

Experience setting up, maintaining, and using inspection hand tools (caliper, micrometer, bore gauges, rings & plug gauges, profilometer, coating‑thickness gauge, comparator, sine bar).

Experience with CMM or Romer Arm.

Bonus Points

Experience in aerospace or automotive industry.

Experience with portable metrology tools (Creaform laser scanner, Romer arm).

Polyworks experience.

Odoo software experience.

Certified mechanical inspector.

Must‑Have Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods.

Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, cryogenics).

Willingness to travel occasionally or work required nights, weekends, or on‑call.
