Strategic Venues & Event Svcs. Hours
40 per week. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Direct and facilitate the set-up, support, and tear-down of equipment, and securing of campus event spaces based on event scheduling software and/or as assigned by department leadership. Assist all set-up, technical support, and tear-down functions of event services strategic venues involving University facilities and equipment based on scheduling software and/or as assigned by department leadership. Serve as the on-site event contact and support technician for event related services. Oversee student and vendor labor crews in assisting with room conversions / set-ups. Assist in the training of said crews. Assist with maintaining department inventory and facilitating general upkeep of storage and event spaces. Respond to client requests as needed to support events. Report maintenance requests for damages and repairs. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Ability to lift and move equipment. Advanced audio knowledge. Basic video and lighting knowledge. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Candidates with forklift certification preferred. Required Education
High School diploma; some college coursework preferred. Required Experience
1-2 years of previous experience in facility setup operations, including working with audio visual technical equipment. The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University. Belmont University participates in E-Verify.
