Support the goals of the ASC:
Collaborate with faculty to ensure tutoring supports course content; work with Peer Educators to provide workshops on study strategies, time management, and test preparation; provide feedback and follow-up with faculty on student progress; collaborate with the Director to develop programming with other university programs and services to promote academic success. Engage in data collection and develop progress reports:
Assess impact and effectiveness of ASC programming through data collection and analysis; contribute to assessment plans and reports; create regular reports on tutoring services. Develop a virtual presence for ASC:
Create online learning modules for academic topics; maintain academic web content for workshops and seminars. Engage with students to promote academic success skills:
Develop and submit proposals to support tutoring, mentoring, and related programs; provide one-on-one and group workshops; offer one-on-one academic life skills support; teach a minimum of two ASII 1101 Learning for Success courses per year. Manage Academic Success programming:
Supervise full‑time professional staff, assign caseloads, mentor, and evaluate performance; coordinate PE tutoring, Course Learning Assistants, workshops, PE training, staff meetings, open houses, and events; hire, train, mentor, and supervise PE; organize tutoring and CLA schedules; collaborate with the CLA Director to develop peer education and initiatives for persistence in math and science; develop and maintain tutoring programs; establish processes for student‑tutors including recruitment, orientations, pedagogical training, and professional development; develop a comprehensive tutoring schedule; manage tutor schedules and supervise large tutoring staff; coordinate payroll and documentation with the Innovation in Student Success and Engagement Office. Other duties:
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in education, social sciences, public administration, STEM or related field. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience working with students in higher education (e.g., classroom instruction, Academic Student Support, Student Success Coaching, Academic Advisement, or related field). Proficiency with personal computers, related hardware/software, web page maintenance and development. Experience with database management, such as Navigate or predictive analytics software. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases; understanding of liberal arts and STEM education; experience with BANNER, NAVIGATE, and student tracking software. SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills; team-building; analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality; strong student advocacy with ability to work with a varied population. Conditions of Employment
