What you’ll do
Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to grow the seasonal tax business.
Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January–April, with evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
Lead daily team meetings, manage associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management, and travel between offices as required.
Prepare tax returns as needed after successful completion of relevant training (Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment).
Responsibilities
Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
Conduct timely performance reviews and resolve associate issues in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.
Foster an engaging, collaborative team environment across all offices through training and coaching.
Qualifications
People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates.
Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth-oriented culture.
Strong decision-making, judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Computer proficiency with MS Office.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
