Overview Under the general supervision of a supervisor or an employee of equal or higher rank, the Mfg. Eng. Resource Planner III is responsible for administering effective allocation of manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance. This role is responsible for BOM consumption, Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routing creation, and manufacturing item orders for manufacturing operations in Bell business systems.

Responsibilities

Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work.

Maintain accurate BOM management and consumption for manufacturing operations.

Create and maintain proper work sequence documentation and CAP routings.

Create manufacturing item orders/requests, including NC programs, tools/fixtures, and gages.

Provide process planning support through production order maintenance, tool maintenance requests, and other planning liaison functions.

Create and maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions (text‑based and 2D/3D formats), material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.

Apply knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures.

Apply GD&T and aerospace tolerance concepts to support producibility assessments when requested.

Maintain records and schedules of assigned work, meeting cost control, schedule, and quality requirements.

Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.

Communicate and interact effectively with internal and external customers, demonstrating strong verbal and written skills.

Qualifications

Two‑year college degree or two years of experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of the Bell apprenticeship program.

Demonstrated capability in applying GD&T/aerospace tolerances.

Experience in technical writing or use of technical writing in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.

Computer proficiency in planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP software, tool design repositories, and CAD software.

Preferred experience in manufacturing composite or metallic materials, and in machined parts.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
