JOB TITLE : Front Desk Rep GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Provides support to administrative office staff assuring a smooth departmental workflow. Responsible for daily tasks such as checking in, checking out, collecting payments, answering telephones, messages, electronic EMR usage, routing calls, reviewing charges, scheduling procedures and on occasion working in coordination with the clinical staff. Responsibilities

Greeting patients Performing check-in procedures Maintaining current demographic and insurance information in computer and in the chart Performing office opening procedures, co-pay/co-insurance collection, and assisting patients as needed Primary focus is servicing patients in the lobby with backup for phones and other front office personnel Qualifications

High School Diploma, with 1-2 years experience in healthcare background Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures Knowledge of computer systems, programs Knowledge of medical terminology Must be able to multi – task Must be able to express compassion and kindness to patients calling and being seen in the office Must maintain a professional and upbeat attitude Skill in written and verbal communication and customer relations Ability to work effectively with medical staff, Management, authorizations, external agencies and patients Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment Normal busy office environment with much patient contact Occasional evening or weekend work Benefits
