Purpose Of Position —

This full‑time position will be responsible for managing all aspects of materials flow, from receipt of components to shipping final product, to ensure the company fulfills its mission of delivering quality products on a timely schedule.

Responsibilities

Maintain control and accuracy over all inventories (Raw material, Work‑in‑progress, finished goods), including planning, material transactions, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure all components and materials are delivered to support the production process.

Coordinate and supervise planning, receiving/shipping and warehousing functions.

Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory forecasting and material control.

Establish and supervise production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Quality Managers to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Quality Managers to resolve vendor return material authorizations to support the production schedule.

Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing an inventory control system, in conjunction with Finance, to guard against future inconsistencies.

Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross‑functional operational decisions.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or a related discipline.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain management, inventory control, procurement, or a related field within manufacturing.

At least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role overseeing materials, logistics, or procurement.

Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor Syteline).

Certifications optional but beneficial: APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes.

Ability to work in and with an ERP/MRP system.

Excellent analytical skills for forecasting material requirements and managing costs.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and timelines.

Demonstrated problem solving, quantitative analysis and analytical abilities.

Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate business results and department needs.

Strong leader with a proactive, positive attitude and strong sense of self‑motivation, accountability and responsibility.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Activities: Sitting – 90% Walking/Standing – 10%

Lifting: Occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.

Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment: Climate controlled office space and exposure to outdoor conditions such as excessive cold, excessive heat, noise/vibration and dust.
