This position is to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong customer relationship and interface skills. The incumbent will work closely with Customer Management and United Utility personnel in Operations, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Purchasing and the PMO. Primary duties will include overall responsibility for the management of all aspects of the program, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies and all regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

Perform daily project deliverables and effectively communicate these to the project team.

Assigned program is multi-discipline in nature, multi stakeholder involvement and financial risk exposure profile requiring management reporting communications.

Responsible for taking the necessary action to see that the projects are completed efficiently, on time and within the established budgets.

Drive consensus, communicate responsibilities, and ensure ownership and accountability.

Escalate risks and issues to keep projects on schedule and on budget.

Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate into projects as best practices.

Integrates and manages a cross functional project team to develop appropriate project roles and responsibilities.

Driving work products by coordinating and working with Operations Leads and Engineering to track and execute client deliverables.

Manages the team's development of a comprehensive project plan, schedule, communications plan and change control methodology.

Facilitates daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal stakeholders and Customer Execution Team.

Manages customer driven accrual and reporting process.

Manages execution of the project plan and change control management process.

Manages project close out in a timely manner to support business goals.

Provides clear, concise, and comprehensive reports for management.

Provides guidance to project support associates.

Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what's needed at the right time.

Assign tasks to team members and help them understand what's expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables.

Be a representative of Plaska at work and in the community.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to assign tasks and responsibilities.

Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions.

Ensure adherence to industry best practices, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Prepare project budgets and cost estimates, tracking expenses throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Continuously assess project risks and make data-driven decisions to overcome challenges.

Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances and maintain project momentum.

Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to team members.

Qualifications

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, and MS Project

Exceptional understanding of Excel to analyze data.

Computer literate with knowledge of current technology.

Project Management Professional Certification is desired

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Must be self-motivated, team oriented with a passion to help when needed and willing to adhere to the quality and safety standards of Plaska.

Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices

Strong organizational and project management skills

Ability to cope with deadlines, manage time, set priorities, define roles and responsibilities, and make decisions.

Ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager (preferably in the electric utility industry or a related field).

Scheduling tools experience.

Willing to travel up to 50% in the beginning of the role.

In-depth knowledge of electric utility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

Demonstrated success in managingfinancials, schedule and change control, involving project sponsor and stakeholders.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

ExcellentCustomer and Executive Management relationship skills

Ability to make informed decisions under pressure, meet strict deadlines,and facilitate focused and cross-functional meetings and calls.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards in the electric utility industry

Utility and Contractor experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
