To support and facilitate the effective implementation and continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction in grades Pre-K through 2. This role also coordinates and collaborates with Content and Multilingual directors in the delivery of high-quality instructional services across all assigned areas. Qualifications
Education/Certification: Minimum of a Master\'s degree preferred Valid Texas teacher's certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position Valid Texas certificate in Supervision, Administration, and/or Mid-Management Administrator or such other credentials as may be required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position preferred Completion of HB 3 Reading Academy required, or able to enroll within the 1st year Special Knowledge/Skills
Extensive knowledge of curriculum design, instructional practices, district and norm-referenced assessments, Pre-K guidelines, TEKS, and state accountability assessments Strong communication, training, and presentation skills Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, and students Ability to lead Professional Learning Communities and provide instructional coaching Demonstrated strength in instruction, curriculum, and lesson design/delivery Ability to utilize data to inform instruction and diagnose achievement Support implementation of district curriculum, teaching strategies, and best practices Provide professional development, model teaching, and instructional leadership Participate in classroom walkthroughs and demonstrate campus-level leadership skills Experience
Minimum of five years teaching experience in subject-related field required; Pre-K experience recommended Campus or district admin experience preferred Experience in conducting staff development and/or mentoring teachers Experience in developing curriculum activities and TEKS-based assessments Experience with instructional coaching and data analysis preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties
The Coordinator of Early Learning shall: Support in strengthening Tier 1 instruction through job-embedded support, walkthroughs, and strategic feedback loops on assigned campuses Monitor the implementations of aligned instructional resources, teacher response to student data, and the effectiveness of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Conduct regular campus needs assessments and collaborate with instructional leadership and departments to address identified gaps Facilitate or contribute to data-driven planning and progress monitoring aligned to district-level performance goals (HB3 or accountability frameworks) Monitor early childhood instructional processes to ensure that program activities are conducive to producing desired program outcomes Monitor and help ensure smooth transitions for students entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten at the elementary campuses Collaborate with the district and campus leadership teams to provide a quality early learning instructional program Coordinate, plan, and improve the purpose and design of the early childhood instructional program and other support programs as necessary to meet the needs of the students Stay current in early childhood research to support the program Coordinate with other departments to provide all required data for reporting purposes Implement and monitor policies and initiatives established by the district, state, and federal level Investigate grant opportunities and participate in seeking new alternatives for funding early childhood expansion initiatives Coordinate and oversee procedures for kindergarten and prekindergarten registration Collaborate with appropriate staff to develop, maintain, and revise early childhood curriculum documents based on systematic review and analysis Monitor early childhood achievement data and interpret, report, and act on results Design and lead staff development aligned with the CFBISD curriculum and strategic plans, supporting teacher learning across content, pedagogy, and student-centered practices Ensure appropriate planning, management, and monitoring of related budgets and resources Assist with processes involving House Bill 3 Reading Academies, as well as support any other pertinent grant(s)/legislation received/developed to improve the quality and reach of the district\'s early childhood program Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and directives from superiors Support the implementation and use of developmentally appropriate assessments in PreK-2 to inform instruction, monitor student progress, and guide early intervention efforts Analyze student achievement data to identify instructional needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and inform instructional adjustments and improvement strategies Assist in evaluating and selecting supplemental resources aligned to the district\'s instructional goals and student needs Serve as a liaison between central office and campuses to support effective communication and implementation of district initiatives Develop and coordinate district events, family engagement opportunities, or early learning initiatives that promote school readiness and align with district goals Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities
