Retail Store Management Trainee - 2951 at FirstCash. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience required. Pay range: $16.95 to $23.95 per hour. Position Summary
We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. The role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met and requires commitment to asset protection, business promotion, and new customer acquisition. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The pay includes base hourly wage plus potential commission and store-performance bonuses. Responsibilities
Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing issues. Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels. Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets through established procedures. Maintain asset protection with inventory control and safety procedures; manage loans and related documentation. Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting. Analyze store financials and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting. Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans. Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested. Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge. The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, etc.). Demonstrated ability to supervise others; able to work with firearms and become firearms certified. Minimum Age: 18; High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; ability to work 45+ hours per week. Store Manager Trainee may work across multiple locations as needed. Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines; strong multi-tasking and organizational skills; cash handling experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and possess solid work ethic and business sense. Commission and Benefits
The potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance; details provided during interview.
