Retail Store Management Trainee – to join our Team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience required. Pay rate: $13.00 to $22.40 per hour. This role offers commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Note: This position may include working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Perks and Benefits

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. Responsible for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. Partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations/Satisfaction. Sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. Alongside the Store Manager, analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. Commits to asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions. Works with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry and general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay is location-, qualification-, and experience-dependent. Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly. Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels. Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans. Administer store processes (inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, reporting). Analyze financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans. Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development. Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives. Remain up-to-date on product knowledge. The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; flexibility with schedules including weekends and holidays. Demonstrated ability to supervise others. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be required to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products from exterior storage. Minimum Age: 18; High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to work in multiple locations as needed. Flexible retail schedule based on business needs; 45+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed. Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. Cash handling experience required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent work ethic and strong business sense. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply! The commission plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
