Mammoth Freighters
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our growing aircraft conversion team in Fort Worth, Texas. This Inspector will be responsible for all inspections performed to ensure compliance to approved data, Federal Aviation Regulations, and/or data acceptable to the administrator. This is an experienced-level position with no supervisory responsibilities. This position will report to the Director of Quality.
Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that no defective, unserviceable, or un-airworthy parts are used on any components or articles released by Mammoth Freighters.
Ensure all fabricated parts are labeled and identified properly.
Inspect work performed to ensure compliance.
Perform receiving inspection functions as authorized and prescribed in the Quality Manual.
Accomplish all necessary inspections of articles maintained by the company to ensure overall quality of workmanship and material used in the fabrication process.
Notify the Director of Quality in a timely manner of any quality concerns and items related to airworthiness that are not resolved through the normal course of the day; these items may be communicated by email or phone. The Director of Quality will ensure that quality concerns and items related to airworthiness are addressed and tracked until resolution.
Demonstrate a thorough familiarity with all necessary tooling, inspection aids and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.
Review manufacturing and maintenance task cards, routers, and other related documents for completeness and accuracy.
Scan and file documents in accordance with department procedures.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive record filing system for the quality department.
Oversee and maintain electronic records documentation on company servers ensuring folders are organized in a controlled and secure environment.
Perform periodic records audit ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Support and perform internal audits under minimal supervision. Work with audit teams to continue to improve the audit program. Assist with external auditor and regulatory inspections.
Research and analyze areas for improvement within the Quality Management System in relation to other department needs and report results to the Director of Quality.
Create, analyze, and maintain charts for weekly and monthly reports.
Submit other periodic reports to management as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of aviation records or documents archive administration experience.
Experienced with reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Proficient in data entry and creation of MS Excel templates and spreadsheets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of quality inspector experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in indoor and, occasionally, outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and safety gear. The outdoor settings include airplane runways and parking lots. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
