Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager
for a direct-hire opportunity in
North Canton, OH
with our client, a global manufacturer of high-quality molds for automotive component manufacturing. This hands-on role supports mold-making operations by identifying technical issues and ensuring that quality tools meet specifications. As part of a smaller
50/55 person operation , this role requires expertise in
precision inspection, KPI monitoring, machining department training, and quality improvement initiatives
such as
Corrective Actions, 5Why, Root Cause Analysis, and ISO compliance . The ideal candidate will also collect and analyze data, conduct presentations, and drive continuous improvement. Our client offers a
competitive salary of $80,000 to $100,000 per year , along with a
comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities . Responsibilities for the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager job in North Canton, OH include: Conduct hands-on
visual and dimensional inspections
of tooling using precision measurement tools. Review customer drawings and specifications. Monitor and analyze
quality and environmental performance . Investigate and troubleshoot tooling issues; implement
corrective and preventive actions . Maintain and audit
ISO 9001 & 14001
certifications, with potential for future certifications. Implement and monitor
continuous improvement initiatives
aligned with global standards and company strategy. Define and deploy
annual objectives and priorities
based on company guidelines. Train and develop production teams on
quality and continuous improvement initiatives . Track and monitor quality and production data, presenting findings and KPIs to stakeholders. Collaborate with the
Site Leadership Team and Head of DPS
to drive continuous improvement and plant engagement. Prepare internal/external reports and PowerPoint presentations for leadership teams and global stakeholders. Oversee the
Continuous Improvement Department , ensuring proper structure, training programs, and compliance with
Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations . Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
preferred. Minimum
2 years of experience
in mold design and manufacturing preferred. At least
2 years of experience in Quality Assurance
within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to develop and implement
continuous improvement and Lean principles
in a manufacturing setting. Metrology experience
is a plus. Experience with
Production Systems, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma
(CQE or CQM certification preferred). Knowledge of
GD&T, FMEA, DOE, GR&R, and ISO 9001/14001 quality systems . ISO 9001 and/or 14001 internal audit training
preferred. Proficiency in
SolidWorks and AutoCAD
is ideal. Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Advanced MS Office skills , including Excel and PowerPoint. About Emerge Emerge is a
