Our prepared meal and rotisserie chicken associates prepare fresh food items daily for our members by following recipes and preparing our always warm and ready rotisserie chicken. We’ll also wrap, label, and store merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with bakery orders. You will: You have a passion for and experience with fresh food You keep member satisfaction as your top priority You are a solution seeker and innovator who tackles obstacles head-on You are comfortable with change and quickly adapt to different work scenarios What you will make an impact by: Ensuring high-quality products are available in our prepared foods area Ensuring shelves are clean, maintaining temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products Preparing and serving ready-to-eat food Maintaining the Sales Floor in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; and be flexible to work in other areas Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan for future and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for production, training, and product quality decisions with the member in mind; adapt to new tools Be an Owner: Drive area performance; manage high exposure and expectations; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers following company policies Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; demonstrate energy and commitment Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; use Open Door Policy; apply in daily work Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; adapt to change At Sam's Club, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
