Trading Assistant/Business Analyst
Our client, a prestigious >$150b AUM Private Credit firm in Midtown, Manhattan is looking for a Trading Assistant/Business Analyst to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have 1-5 yrs. of financial services experience, strong expertise in broadly syndicated loans, CLOs, or other structured fixed income products, and the ability to interface directly with deal team professionals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with traders to ensure accurate setup and data flow when onboarding new portfolios or trading counterparties.
Provide daily cash liquidity reporting to the front office and assisting in funding daily business needs.
Monitor daily trade and pricing activity, including daily margin and collateral review.
Work closely with front office traders to run ad hoc reports and assist with trade issues.
Read and understand Credit Agreements, validate and map loan data, monitor interest and principal payments.
Set up compliance tests to run on hypothetical trades.
Reconcile cash and positions across all funds.
Project Management / Target Operating Model enhancement.
Take ownership of ad hoc assignments that contribute to broader investment decisions.
Develop and implement process improvements and automate tasks.
Must-Have Qualifications
At least 1 year of relevant experience in private credit, fund administration, banking or a similar financial environment.
A strong academic foundation with a degree from an accredited university, preferably in finance or economics.
A strong understanding of financial markets, with expertise in CLOs, ABS, bonds, bank debt, or syndicated leveraged loans.
Advanced Excel skillset.
Python, SQL, WSO/Markit, ClearPar, CDOSuite, Power BI, Advent Geneva, or Bloomberg skills are highly desirable.
Strong organizational and process management skills.
