Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget for projects. They also manage quality and coordination between all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a positive client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Review scope of contract and execute deliverables within the prescribed schedule.
Monitor time charges and adjustments to keep the project within budget.
Recognize scope changes or scope creep and coordinate with Group Manager or Director to negotiate appropriate adjustments in price or schedule.
Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Make final decisions for all survey and staking technical matters.
Review deliverables for quality control and adherence to company standards before external release of maps and staking data.
Coordinate project submittals with local municipalities.
Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
Maintain close contact with the client throughout project duration, ensuring satisfaction through regular communication.
Foster long‑term relationships with past and current clients.
Cross‑sell services to other departments or clients.
Pursue continuous, deep knowledge of current industry trends.
Provide feedback on staff performance and training needs to Group Manager.
Maintain a safe work environment for all crew members.
Communicate respectfully with clients or project neighbors to maintain a positive company image.
Follow guidelines and company standards set by the Geomatics Department.
Assist in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment by following company policies and procedures.
Assess potential hazards and unsafe working conditions.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Florida.
Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics preferred.
2–5 years of office/field experience in land surveying.
Highly motivated to develop and grow the land surveying sector within the region.
Ability to work within a multi‑discipline engineering firm for many clients with differing project deliverable standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of surveying professionals.
Ability to independently manage and grow key client relationships.
Technical abilities required to lead and advise the surveying project team through execution and delivery.
