Transportation Specialist
Job Description: The Transportation Specialist provides safe, high-quality, customer-focused non-medical transportation and para-transit services to and from medical facilities, under direction of dispatch center and team leader.
Responsibilities Primary vehicle operator, transport clients securely, assist with handicap aids, wheelchair lift equipment, maintain safe driving record, comply with DOT, periodic drug screening.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification & Licensures
Valid driver's license required.
DOT Medical Examiner's certificate required.
EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Certificate) or equivalent required within 6 months of hire.
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA) required prior to completion of orientation.
Advanced or Basic First Aid training preferred or company will provide.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
Experience in use of handicap aids and wheelchair lift equipment and care of aged / handicapped clients preferred.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record with company insurance carrier.
Serves as primary vehicle operator.
