Aurorium is currently seeking a Global Materials Manager to be located at one of our manufacturing facilities in the US. The role will help deliver the goals and objectives of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization. The role supports global sourcing project execution of all aspects of the procurement process relating to tolling, packaging, and direct materials. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter focused on delivering results who can work independently, identify, and provide continuous improvement opportunities, and thrive in a team environment. Role and Responsibilities
Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. Drive supplier innovation initiatives, ensuring access to new technologies and sustainable solutions. Partner with Finance to validate cost models, ensuring transparency in cost structures and savings tracking. Collaborate with regional/global peers to leverage spend across geographies and maximize value. Lead supplier / toller risk assessments and performance ratings (scorecards) and develop risk mitigation strategies based on these exercises. Ensure business continuity planning with dual-sourcing strategies where feasible. Data Governance and Reporting
Establish category dashboards and KPIs to support leadership decision-making. Develop standardized reporting tools to enhance visibility of spend, supplier performance, and compliance. Utilize market intelligence platforms and networks to benchmark pricing and supply trends. Support and update digitalization efforts by driving data integrity and process automation within SAP and procurement systems. Compliance
Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, and import/export controls. Lead supplier audits to validate compliance with ESG, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards. Monitor adherence to corporate anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies in supplier interactions. Complies with Aurorium Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements. Champion cross-functional cost reduction and value engineering projects. Drive adoption of sustainable procurement practices, including carbon footprint reduction. Lead structured problem-solving workshops (e.g., A3, DMAIC) to eliminate systemic sourcing issues. Foster supplier-enabled innovation by organizing joint development sessions with key vendors. Education and Qualifications
Supply Chain / Engineering or Business Bachelor\'s Degree and CPSM/CPIM/APICS or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Demonstrated global raw material category management experience with multi-million-dollar spend responsibility. Experience leading cross-border supplier negotiations and managing cultural differences. 5-10 years\' experience in Sourcing / Procurement with track record of supplier consolidation, network optimization, and cost transformation initiatives. Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with a solid understanding of legal and commercial terms and conditions. Toller management experience is a plus. Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and matrix organization. Strong working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office. Change agent with knowledge of process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, MRP, others). Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities; adjust to a fast-moving environment with multiple competing goals and objectives.
