Delivery Specialist position at O'Reilly Auto Parts. The role involves maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner, collecting money on COD deliveries, and picking up customer returns. Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained; perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operation. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips. Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicles are locked and secured at end of day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and running errands. May occasionally assist customers as a cashier and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. Qualifications and Skills
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system. Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Desired
Familiar with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Compensation and Benefits
