The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. The position includes collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained; perform daily inspections before operating.
Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet card, devices, and collected money at all times.
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slip.
Communicate customer needs/problems to store management and report vehicle issues or incidents immediately.
Ensure fuel is filled and lock vehicle and secure it at end of day.
Clock in/out per company policy.
Perform other duties such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, and putting up stock orders.
Assist customers, serve as cashier, and help merchandising tasks as needed.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
Driving record meeting company 14/18‑point system.
Legally required state driver’s license and eligibility.
Familiarity with automotive parts (desired).
Ability to operate light store equipment (desired).
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish (desired).
