Responsibilities
Provide end‑to‑end technical oversight of equipment configuration generation and IP assignment for 4G, 5G, and C‑Band network expansions.
Create and maintain configuration files for Samsung and Nokia equipment using vendor tools such as the Nokia Service Portal.
Design network transport for the Tristate Sub‑market, focusing on 5G and C‑Band growth, including LS3/LS6 router configurations, Conquest IP responsibilities, bandwidth upgrades, and Granite work.
Develop router configs for transport solutions including dark fiber, LIT‑Eline, and third‑party fiber circuits.
Provide technical support and project management for design, acquisition, and implementation of DWDM and SONET optical transport systems.
Document transport equipment and design paths in an engineering database.
Collaborate with network planning and other groups to align equipment growth projects with business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical background.
Experience in cellular/telecommunications transport engineering.
Advanced proficiency in CWDM/DWDM systems (Ciena, Alcatel‑Lucent).
Familiarity with dark‑fiber vendor processes and network portfolio maps.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, project‑management, and interpersonal skills.
Decision‑making and organizational planning abilities.
Quick learner of new technology and ability to apply wireless engineering knowledge.
Self‑motivated, initiative‑driven, and capable of independent work.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Pay Transparency The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $65.00 - $70.00/hr. Non‑exempt positions may qualify for overtime at 1.5× the base rate for hours over 40 per week, per applicable laws. Final offer depends on skills, education, and experience. Full‑time employees can choose from benefit packages, including health, dental, vision, and other standard benefits.
