The Distribution Operations Manager is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. This position reports to the Director- Distribution and is part of the Distribution and Logistics team located in Hebron, KY and will be an on‑site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Use data to solve challenging operations problems using the Danaher Problem Solving Process, to improve KPI performance through root cause analysis, implementation of countermeasures, and action plans
Identify, develop, and execute strategic projects to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
Manage all distribution activities with a supervisory staff to ensure assignments and daily objectives are met on or ahead of schedule by ensuring operation is adequately staffed and properly trained
Drive associate engagement through team‑building activities, accountability, and consistency
Develop daily plans to manage staff and resources in order to achieve world class on‑time delivery
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
Proven track record in creating, managing, and achieving goals through KPIs, engagement, etc.
Strong leadership experience in a distribution or operations environment, including leading other leaders
Experience utilizing Lean principles & the Kaizen mindset to improve processes & eliminate waste
Familiarity with Lean principles such as Toyota Production System or Danaher Business System, including one‑piece flow, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and problem‑solving processes
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
Kaizen facilitation and Process mapping
Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
Distribution in a regulated environment
