Building Manager role at The Alden Network. Base pay range: $68,000.00/yr - $72,000.00/yr. Responsibilities

Directs, plans, coordinates, and administers the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations which govern a long-term care facility. Coordinate safety and maintenance needs to ensure a comfortable and safe environment. Facility safety and maintenance: coordinate, arrange, supervise, and ensure completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with facility policy, procedures, and financial guidelines. Develop, schedule, and control a preventative maintenance program to maintain safe and efficient plant operations and grounds; evaluate long-term needs related to major projects and property improvements. Manage facility equipment maintenance: ensure major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and arrange for replacement as needed; maintain equipment records and arrange timely repairs. Oversee safety training and conduct safety inspections; manage the facility’s safety committee and coordinate fire safety inspections with follow-up on deficiencies. Provide general oversight to Alden Bennett Construction employees and outside contractors working on the premises; attend department head and corporate meetings; report project timelines to the Environmental Services Coordinator when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school graduate. Knowledge and experience in all phases of building maintenance; knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, facility safety, equipment maintenance, and training. Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs. Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the long-term care industry. Physical Requirements

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must have adequate sight/hearing or use of prosthetics to perform duties; may involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment or supplies in excess of 50 pounds. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B virus. Essential Functions

Facility Safety: develop and maintain high safety standards in accordance with facility policy and applicable laws. Arrange, coordinate, and supervise safety inspections; coordinate corrective actions as needed. Coordinate and schedule internal safety inspections and safety committee activities. Facility maintenance: ensure the facility and grounds are maintained according to policy and guidelines; plan continual work schedules to maintain a safe environment. Develop, schedule, and control a preventative maintenance program; evaluate needs for major projects and improvements. Equipment maintenance: ensure major equipment is maintained; establish procedures for repairs and replacements; assist with equipment purchases when needed. Provide training related to safety and maintenance needs; participate in relevant meetings; communicate project timelines and issues to leadership. Supervise Alden Bennett Construction staff and outside contractors as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. General Benefits
