Lead all traffic activities and traffic staff in HDR’s Ohio offices as Ohio Traffic Section Manager. Work in a team environment, tackle new challenges, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and proactively advance the transportation profession. The role requires both collaborative and independent work. Manage projects with traffic elements, arterial and freeway corridor studies, feasibility studies, transportation NEPA projects, alternative evaluation reports, and the design of roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit projects. Collaborate with multimodal teams of planners, engineers, technical specialists, and communications specialists, occasionally under compressed timelines. Assess traffic operations and safety using modeling software with a multimodal perspective for all system users. Identify geometric, traffic control, or technological solutions to address deficiencies in transportation systems. Research and identify new and innovative solutions to plan for and adapt to technology growth in transportation. Write data-backed and compelling multimodal plans and studies. Share project work and conclusions with project team members, clients and the public. Coordinate HDR regional traffic and planning priorities and align with national transit/transportation leadership and area operations management to drive growth in Ohio. Manage professionals to ensure alignment with project scope and client requirements. Promote HDR branding to the industry and client community; serve as the face of HDR to executive management, board members, and project management staff of clients. Serve as a project director or project manager, or contribute in a support role as appropriate. Lead select key projects, provide technical expertise to develop budgets, monitor tasks, perform quality control reviews, and provide oversight as needed. Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller and management for reviews, project accounting, and related needs. Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures on transit projects. Contribute to successful project delivery. Develop strategies with HDR counterparts for key hires, project pursuits, team growth, area growth and profitability, and employee engagement and satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications

PTOE. RSP I or II. Experience with traffic analysis modeling software (e.g., Synchro, TransModeler, and Vissim). Understanding and experience with planning-level traffic analysis and forecasting preferred. Experience working with Ohio DOT and Ohio Municipalities. Experience working on multimodal projects. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe & Our Commitment
