Overview The Supply Planner will play a critical role in ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while balancing cost and service level targets. This position requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to adapt within a dynamic, multi‑brand environment. The planner is responsible for forecasting supply needs, managing purchase plans, and supporting the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to distribution centers.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑term supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets across multiple product categories and brands.
Collaborate with Demand Planning, Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Operations, and Logistics to ensure timely production and delivery of goods. Provide guidance on allocation needs.
Assist with minimum order quantity (MOQ) strategies to minimize, balance, and adjust as appropriate.
Consolidate input, develop constrained demand plans, and execute supply plans to meet demand. Manage supply‑side alerts for cross‑functional teams.
Work closely with Supply Operations to create buy‑approval templates for each production buy, signed off by the executive team before purchase.
Ensure customer required delivery dates and service levels are met by coordinating with Global Logistics on transportation modes.
Maintain inventory levels, safety stock analysis, and fulfillment strategies for assigned product categories.
Monitor supply and inventory KPIs such as service levels, turns, stockouts, and take proactive action to resolve imbalances.
Collaborate with Finance to manage inventory reporting, turns reporting, and financial reporting. Publish monthly reports in line with global supply operations reporting.
Manage lifecycle management, focusing on excess/obsolete (E&O) inventory and reducing E&O with Sales and Product/Merch teams.
Analyze constraints, lead times, and capacity limits to optimize replenishment strategies and investigate allocation issues.
Communicate supply risks and opportunities to stakeholders and provide data‑driven recommendations.
Support new product introductions and end‑of‑life planning by aligning supply strategies with launch and exit timelines.
Maintain master data accuracy in ERP systems (lead times, MOQ, safety stock).
Participate in S&OP processes, merchandising meetings, innovation trails, monthly inventory meetings, supply meetings, and special meetings with internal and external partners.
Qualifications
Prefer Mass Retail experience; not required.
Associate’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field. Additional years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or inventory management; consumer goods or outdoor/lifestyle industries a plus.
Proficient in supply chain planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); advanced Excel skills required.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation & Benefits Annual Salary:
$80,000.00 – $90,000.00
