The QC Inspector will be responsible for the overall inspection of populated printed circuit boards; confirmation of part values, part orientation, solder acceptability, and associated record keeping. Inspect to IPC 610 and J-STD-001 Class 2 and 3. Attention to detail in order to observe the manufacturing of parts to ensure quality standards are met while maintaining speed. The ability to use DMM and calipers is a plus. Essential duties and responsibilities
Identify resistors, capacitors, and other electronics for values, polarity, and position. Inspect the first piece, process, or final inspection of printed circuit boards and enter results into a computer database. Test parts, sub-assemblies, or final assemblies to close tolerances. Identify proper methods and/or techniques to inspect or test intricate parts following company policies and procedures and work instructions. Make test or gauging setups. Work with testing equipment and use measuring devices. Check dimensions, hole locations, squareness, surface relationships, recesses, contours, and similar characteristics. Stop production when defects become excessive and inform the supervisor and/or manager. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, work orders, formulas, processing charts, and bills of material. Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand. Follow manufacturing and quality control methods, procedures, policies, or techniques. Handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Maintain focus on small objects for prolonged periods; color recognition and component handling/ID/Review. Qualifications
Ability to use DMM and calipers (preferred). Experience inspecting printed circuit boards to IPC 610 and J-STD-001 Class 2 and 3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to observe manufacturing processes to ensure quality standards. Employment type
