Lead Document Control Technician (Level III) at Pacific Pros Overview Pacific Pros is seeking a Senior Document Control Technician (Levels III) to serve Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA). This is a full-time, on-site position located in Los Angeles, CA. Work Location : LAWA local candidates only. Openings : Winter 2024, Immediate Benefits Paid Holidays 401(k) 401(k) matching Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Responsibilities Process, distribute, and archive all project-related documentation received and sent using Prolog Manager or other PM software. Maintain an electronic and hard copy centralized filing system. Include distribution to internal team members, the Planning & Development Group (PDG), and external project participants (correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, RFIs, contract plans and specifications). Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using Prolog, and retrieve documents through Prolog or other applicable software. May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element. May be assigned training duties to train new staff on document controls procedures. Additional Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Team with project documents and control/distribution in Prolog Manager. Maintain document control files per project procedures. Include establishing and maintaining files; receiving, indexing, and scanning documents into Prolog Manager. Document types: correspondence, field memos, submittals, pay requests, drawing log, safety notices, RFIs, and photos. Support control, scanning, indexing, linking, and distribution of documents in Prolog to internal LAWA PDG and external project participants. Create binders, labels, and organize file storage for contract documents. Hardware/Software Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite required; Adobe Acrobat required. Experience with large-scale Document Control software preferred (Prolog and/or Documentum highly desirable). Experience with routine document control hardware/software (scanners, OCR). Professional Experience/Qualifications Experience managing a document control effort for a large-scale, billion-dollar construction project; public-sector project experience highly desirable. Self-starter with proactive, results-oriented focus; willing to assume additional responsibilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exemplified accuracy, reliability, and completeness in prior roles. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interface with people of varying technical levels; detail-oriented and highly organized; strong customer-service attitude. Can-do attitude with ability to produce accurate results quickly. Occasionally able to wrap, lift, and move boxes/packages up to 40 pounds. Required Qualifications US employment authorization without sponsorship A valid Driver’s License and compliance with PACIFIC’s Vehicle Policy Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat 3+ references from clients Detail-oriented and highly organized Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional Experience in a construction environment preferred Education/Training/Experience Two-year technical degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: document processing at large international airports preferred, with Level III requirements: 10+ years in document processing, data management, and team leadership for document control. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized; mastery of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
