Overview
LHH is seeking a Program Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Rensselaer, Indiana. In this position, you will manage projects involving new product development from cradle to grave. You will join a well-established team and interface with multiple departments on a daily basis as you develop new products and manage them through product release. Compensation is commensurate with experience and will range between $100,000-115,000 per year plus bonus, and the role offers several medical insurance plans, generous paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. Relocation packages are available for qualified candidates.
Own and manage projects for new product development from initial creation through project execution and task completion
Collaborate with the sales and design teams and complete design reviews with internal and external business partners
Create and maintain detailed customer-facing and internal project schedules, ensuring alignment with agreed timelines and reporting progress weekly to leadership
Oversee program budgets, approve supplier purchase orders and internal work orders, and track project costs to ensure adherence to approved budgets
Serve as the primary point of contact for program-specific customer issues and collaborate with the sales, client services, and engineering teams to resolve inquiries and prevent timeline delays
Complete APQP, PPAP, and/or Finite Element Analyses and determine manufacturability of products and make necessary adjustments
Drive successful program launches by coordinating deliverables, managing inventory transitions, and implementing system improvements based upon customer and internal feedback
Verify and validate new designs and conduct root cause analysis of quality issues during the design and beginning stages of the manufacturing process
Coordinate with operations and management personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily tasks and then report on those activities
Perform initial and ongoing product and performance reviews
Qualifications
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT: Must have hands-on work experience managing programs and new product development within a manufacturing facility.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Program Management is highly preferred
Must have 3+ years of professional experience with program management and/or new product development
Preference toward candidates from a highly regulated industry
Must possess the ability to read blueprints and CAD designs
Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
