As the Materials & Supply Operations Specialist you will own SAP material master data, maintaining accuracy and compliance across systems, and support production through detailed scheduling, process order management, and BOM updates. Collaborate with supply operations, warehouse and manufacturing teams to resolve issues, ensure seamless material flow, maintain SOP documentation, and drive continuous improvement in data integrity and system efficiency.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities
Serve as steward of SAP material master data, ensuring accuracy and compliance across systems.
Maintain detailed production schedules in SAP to align with manufacturing and supply plans.
Create, release, and monitor SAP process orders to support timely and efficient production.
Manage and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing master data in SAP to reflect current recipes and approved processes.
Support procurement activities by maintaining procurement master data, coordinating material requirements and ensuring timely ordering.
Partner with materials management and manufacturing teams to resolve material– or order– related issues.
Monitor and troubleshoot SAP transactions to maintain seamless material flow.
Maintain documentation (SOPs, work instructions) for SAP and materials operations processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data integrity, process efficiency, and system utilization.
Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field OR an associate’s degree with equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of post-college professional experience in supply chain, materials management, or manufacturing operations.
Experience with SAP (or comparable ERP system) is required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong understanding of material master data, process/production orders, and BOM management within ERP systems.
Familiarity with procurement processes and production planning concepts.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools.
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Denali offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage, ESPP and a broad range of other benefits.
