CR Meyer
Project Manager (Piping) at CR Meyer – lead piping project management across the planning, budgeting, construction and post-construction phases, using knowledge of piping principles to ensure goals are accomplished within CR Meyer’s safety guidelines as well as quality, schedule and budget requirements. Provide leadership to the project team and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with heavy industrial/piping customers and the CR Meyer Design/Build team in estimating and executing construction projects.
Prepares and provides bids to customers using approved design specifications, based on knowledge of piping systems and construction principles.
Follows up with customers on piping bid proposals and completes paperwork to secure commitment to initiate the project.
Establishes budgets, timelines and overall goals for piping construction project execution.
Implements the CR Meyer Risk Control Plan for all projects and leads efforts to establish and maintain a safe job site with the customer, on-site staff, Safety Coordinator, and the project team.
Obtains all permits and ensures piping projects comply with federal, state and local regulatory requirements at all times.
Conducts routine site visits for plan implementation, budget status review, progress assessment, communication with the on-site team and safety/compliance assurance.
Develops the project team to include subcontractors and vendors, and schedules and manages their services.
Ensures the project has required equipment, tools, supplies and other resources for completion.
Prepares purchase orders for project-related expenses, oversees labor hours and expense sheets, manages invoicing and receivables.
Provides periodic updates and communicates with the customer, project team, field staff, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure project stays within specifications, schedule and budget through completion.
Tracks productivity factors with site leadership and supervision; documents productivity for future reference.
Uses CR Meyer software to prepare required documents and project management updates.
Ensures QA/QC standards and procedures are implemented according to CR Meyer guidelines.
Collaborates with the Design/Build team on means and methods engineering controls.
Oversees final project punch list preparation at completion and ensures proper completion for customer review.
Documents completed projects for future reference.
Wears all assigned PPE and adheres to CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance due to project deadlines and demands.
Completes related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Five to ten years of experience in estimating and managing heavy industrial construction projects required, with emphasis on piping systems, equipment installation/erection and general civil/structural construction work.
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and Primavera required.
Ability to complete CR Meyer training and perform duties within safety guidelines including First Aid/CPR Certification, OSHA 30 and SafeStart.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
Valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe driving habits.
Legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Ability to travel to various project sites within the United States required.
