Quality Inspector Specialist We’re looking for a detail-oriented

Quality Inspector

to ensure materials and products meet engineering standards. This role involves inspecting incoming and manufactured parts, creating inspection plans, and supporting quality documentation like

First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)

and

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) .

Key Responsibilities

Inspect parts and materials using tools, drawings, and proper methods.

Create and update inspection plans, including sample sizes and key features.

Record accepted/rejected quantities in tracking systems.

Perform and approve

First Article Inspections (FAI) .

Work closely with the APQP pilot to create and approve PPAPs.

Collaborate with Supplier Quality to review and approve FAIR and PPAP documents.

Handle nonconforming materials in the system.

Use customer portals to enter and retrieve inspection data.

Read and interpret technical drawings.

Follow assigned standard work and meet deadlines.

Maintain regular attendance and be flexible with overtime when needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

1–2 years of experience with FAIR and/or PPAP.

At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong communication skills to work with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Suppliers.

Analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability.

Understanding of inspection tools and metrology.

Familiarity with inspection planning, sampling plans, and critical features.

Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards.

Experience with SAP and measuring machine programming is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Mostly on the production floor with some office work.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

70% stationary, 30% mobility.

Pay Details $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
