Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop processes and controls, and help specify systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.

Commodities Operations is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing across a broad range of products. A key focus for the organization is establishing strong risk management procedures and controls to protect the firm and our clients. The Gas & Power Logistics team manages the physical aspects of our U.S. Power, Renewables and Carbon business, coordinating projects to facilitate access to new markets and products and ensuring timely, accurate submission of nomination and notification data to relevant System/Market Operators.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in the U.S. Power business.

Create and maintain vendor oversight procedures.

Manage relationship with outsourced vendors, including contract negotiation and review.

Act as the GS liaison for vendor support of new business.

Nominate power, renewables and carbon positions to relevant Market/System Operators.

Confirm counterparty and operator submitted data reflects our trading positions.

Provide Traders & Sales Teams with timely and accurate market data.

Participate in ongoing development of procedures & processes to support the business.

Manage projects to facilitate trading in new markets and products, including external interfaces and internal IT system enhancements.

Interface with Legal, Compliance, Credit, IT, Tax and relevant external bodies.

Basic Qualifications

BS/BA degree.

At least 2 years of professional experience.

Experience in Physical Electricity, Renewables and Carbon scheduling or equivalent in North American markets.

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States‑based position is $70,000‑$95,000.
