Business Development Capture Lead

to support growth efforts across the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Department of the Army, and United States Space Force (USSF) markets. This individual will play a key role in shaping and capturing new opportunities aligned with Cimarron’s core capabilities in engineering, mission operations, and technology development. This position is based in

Huntsville, AL , and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership to build relationships, develop capture strategies, and expand Cimarron’s footprint within the defense and space sectors. Candidates with military acquisition or operational backgrounds are encouraged to apply — Cimarron will provide business development and capture training for the right candidate. This is a hybrid position that will allow for some remote (i.e., work from home) work! Responsibilities

Lead capture and business development efforts for opportunities within the MDA, USSF, and Army markets. Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders, program managers, and decision makers. Identify and shape new business opportunities by understanding customer missions, priorities, and upcoming procurements. Develop and implement capture plans, competitive assessments, and win strategies aligned with corporate objectives. Collaborate with internal technical, contracts, and proposal teams to ensure responsive and compliant solutions. Contribute to proposal content, including technical, management, and past performance volumes, as needed. Track and report capture progress and pipeline metrics to leadership. Represent Cimarron at industry days, conferences, and customer engagements in the Huntsville defense community. Required Skills, Experience, And Education

Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe. 10 or more years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of MDA, USSF, and/or Army acquisition environments. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

Active Secret Clearance (or higher). Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field. Previous military experience in acquisition, operations, or program management. Experience in business development, capture management, or proposal support. Knowledge of DoD procurement processes and Small Business contracting. Business Profile
