Overview
Arcosa Marine Products, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Maintenance Manager for our Caruthersville, MO plant. In this role, the Maintenance Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in setting-up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment and fabricating metal parts and tools.
About Arcosa Inland Barge Group Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group is comprised of Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
What you’ll do
Monitor and control Maintenance Department operating, staffing and maintenance costs within established budget and guidelines
Manage, plan and assign maintenance personnel work activity according to schedules requirements
Coordinate procedures, equipment maintenance priorities, repair and installation work on a regular basis in conjunction with Production Supervisors and Production Manager
Analyze and estimate cost on various maintenance and repair projects
Ensure all department objectives are in compliance with Arcosa’s policies, and all safety, health and environmental government regulations are followed
Prepare and conduct performance appraisals and evaluations for direct reports according to Company guidelines
Initiate requisitions of all shop supplies and repair parts
Coordinate with Safety Manager, Production Manager, Production Supervisors and Plant Manager the implementation of safety procedures and ensure equipment safety
Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program
Implement and maintain necessary departmental procedures and records for efficient operations.
Ensure record keeping accuracy of all logs for maintenance of cranes, mobile equipment and any other procedures or equipment records OSHA requires
Assist and direct workers in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery
Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment(s)
Establish or adjust procedures to meet production schedules
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent maintenance experience desired
Minimum 8 years related work experience in manufacturing environment
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
