Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

Location: Thornton | Hybrid Flexibility

$120k–$160k per year + Bonus + Auto Allowance + Excellent Benefits

A nationally recognized mechanical contractor with over a century of industry success is seeking a

Project Manager

to oversee complex commercial construction projects across Colorado. This is a high-impact role with full ownership from preconstruction through project closeout—ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to lead multi-million-dollar mechanical scopes from the front.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule targets are met

Manage purchasing, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation

Coordinate with field superintendents and subcontractors to drive progress and maintain safety

Monitor job costs and profitability throughout the life of the project

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders

Oversee project scheduling, startup, QA/QC, commissioning, and warranty tracking

Review and manage contracts, proposals, and change orders

Host internal coordination meetings and lead project reporting efforts

Support and mentor project engineers, promoting technical and professional development

Participate in project closeouts and document lessons learned for future improvement

What We’re Looking For

Track record of mechanical construction project management experience

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical system installation

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience managing projects valued at $mm annually is preferred

Comfortable interfacing with owners, GCs, field teams, and executive leadership

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management software experience a plus

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution abilities

Collaborative mindset and a drive to deliver quality work with integrity
