office in Newport News. TPMG includes more than 220 physicians and clinicians across 75+ locations in southeastern Virginia. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, working on the Southside (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, etc.). Position Summary

The Practice Support Specialist assists with developing and implementing projects across the physician group, fostering positive interactions at the office level to promote effective relationships between locations and administration. Major Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with Office Managers, Regional Operations Managers, and leaders to develop objectives and strategies; conduct needs assessments; recommend operational improvements. Assist in prioritizing based on assessed needs, impact, and resources. Handle medical-legal documents, insurance, and correspondence in compliance with laws and ethics. Support startup of new medical offices and onboarding of new physicians and specialties. Assist with Office Manager transitions, training, and float pool programs. Ensure patient advocacy and proper attention during interactions. Provide coverage for Office Managers and assist with administrative tasks like charge entry, payroll, and accounts payable. Promote team building and continuous improvement of best practices. Conduct meetings, analyze data, identify problems, and implement solutions. Communicate professionally, collaborate effectively, work independently, and maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understanding of organizational policies, fiscal and HR management, and medical office practices. Proficiency with computer systems, applications, and EHR systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work scheduled hours as defined. Education/Training/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum five years office management experience in healthcare, preferably with TPMG. Certified Coder (CPC) or equivalent. Experience with family practice and subspecialty groups preferred. Physical Demands

Ability to lift/move equipment, stand/walk for long periods, sit for extended periods, and enter data. Occasional reaching, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., grasping, squatting, and leaning. Hear and speak clearly; vision corrected as needed; see data on screens. Success Factors

Excellent time management, organization, communication, customer service, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
