Job Description :
As a Market Manager at Alps Beverages (Pantalones Organic Tequila & Betty Booze), you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and working with distributor sales teams (On & Off Premise) within Austin (with a secondary focus on San Antonio). Leveraging your connections & expertise in the region/markets, you will develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual sales goals (volume, accounts & channel specific qualitative objectives), while maintaining the brand integrity and reputation. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, time management, and interpersonal skills, sales experience in the wine and spirits industry, and a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales and distribution targets primarily within Austin (and secondarily San Antonio).
Identify, target, and sell into key on- and off-premise accounts.
Work closely with distributor partners to increase distribution and develop brand performance within both on-premise and off-premise accounts.
Manage spending against budget in collaboration with the TX Regional Manager and VP of Sales – Central Region.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and key retail accounts to drive sales and brand visibility.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding distribution channels and developing new key accounts.
Serve as a brand ambassador by effectively communicating the brands’ story, values, and product offerings to customers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional activities, events, tastings, and merchandising strategies to drive brand awareness and sales.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within Texas.
Qualifications
Strong network within key accounts in the Austin / San Antonio region.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
Proven sales experience within the wine and spirits industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Excellent entrepreneurial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry, including distribution channels, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to travel within the Central Texas region as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Diver & iDig.
Relevant certifications or training in wine and spirits education (e.g., WSET) is a plus.
Motivated self-starter with unwavering desire to achieve goals and deliver results – with a willingness to work night & weekend activation.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry cases (up to ~40 lbs).
