Roles and Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete pre‑operation inspections.
Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips.
Communicate any customer problems or special needs to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled; lock and secure vehicle at the end of the day.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform additional duties such as customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and stocking orders.
Assist customers and serve as a cashier or help with merchandising tasks when business requires.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
Driving record meets the company’s 14/18‑point record system.
Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
