SUMMARY: We are looking for a dynamic Quality Manager based on-site in the Kilgore, TX facility. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Operations.
The Quality Manager will implement and oversee the administration of all methods and procedures to ensure conformity to blueprint, customer specific and/or company specifications of all production material. The Quality Manager must also coordinate, communicate and regulate quality related issues and/or policies such asISO 9001. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive operational excellence in quality initiatives, processes, and practices; and use strong project and change management skills. The Quality Manager builds partnerships with all levels of team members. Strong leadership skills and business knowledge are keys to success in this position, along with the ability to thrive in an environment of both strategy and active hands-on execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary for the position
Maintains quality assurance objectives and metrics by leading the plant Quality department and Quality programs. This also includes performance management and hiring of the employees within the department. Maintain key customer relationships and acts as point of contact with key customer contacts as required including scheduling of customer visits and customer audits. Responsible for implementation and compliance toISO 9001 as the Management Representative. Directs and develops employees engaged in quality assurance activities including PPAP, FMEA, Process Flow Charts, SIPOC, Control Plans, SPC, MSA / Gage R&R, Problem Solving Techniques, Supplier Qualification, Calibration systems and Corrective & Preventative Actions Analyzes warranty / customer complaint data and initiates corrective action Responds promptly, effectively and professionally to customer complaints Audits and tracks supplier quality performance Provides preventative measures for in-process part qualification through random inspection, dock auditing and maintenance or a statistical process control program, as well as, analyzing data to evaluate the current process and changes Oversees layered audit procedure and process Prepares and presents technical, program and operation information to the management team Implements quality assurance training programs for employees in conjunction with Managers, Supervisors and Leaders. Maintains documentation and records of Quality department functions Involvement in Advanced Product Quality Planning Review and correlate quality data across all phases of product life cycle (supplier, manufacturing, customer, field, etc.). Develops, implements and controls all procedures directly relating to product quality Controls and maintains (calibration) of all quality devices (gages, fixtures, tools) Investigates nonconformities and develops, initiates and verifies corrective actions Records and tracks the measurement of quality using the cost of quality as a reflection of the price of nonconformance Assists the organization in implementation of lean, standardized work and continuous improvement activities Participates in continuous improvement activities, submits improvement suggestions (CI, Safety) Follows all safety regulations and policies, as designated by local, state and federal laws, along with Plant & Company policies Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. May be required to travel to other Camfil locations up to 5%. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field such as Quality, Engineering or other related fields. Minimum of 5 years Quality management experience. Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. Geometry and statistics skills required. Strong knowledge of and extensive experience with ERP tools / principles. Ability to partner with internal and external customers. Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications Ability to read blueprint and drawings. Ability to write routine reports. Strong continuous improvement mindset and desire for action. Understanding of Lean principles. Exceptional project management skills including ability to create action plans and timelines, manage multiple programs simultaneously. Audit program management experience is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively and timely to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and customers. Highly skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. SPC (Statistical Process Control) background is a plus. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and collaboration. Skilled in driving quality culture continuous improvement initiatives. Capable of delivering training and presentations to various levels throughout the organization. Ability and willingness to handle the Quality administrative tasks in the role. Great candidates for this Quality Manager’s role have a solid Quality background but are also good at playing offense.
