Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer with a Texas PE License to join our growing Roadway/Transportation team as a Senior Project Manager in our McAllen, TX office. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in roadway/transportation project development with emphasis in the delivery of TxDOT projects. Work closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT roadway/transportation projects. Perform complex transportation engineering tasks and lead other professional staff in project development. Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders. Manage multiple transportation tasks or projects to support business needs. Lead other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including engineers, EITs, and technical staff to contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways. Review transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency. Report on project progress and budgets. Collaborate with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities. What You Will Need
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or ability and willingness to obtain Texas PE License within six months of starting date. At least 15 years of experience in TxDOT roadway/transportation project delivery. MicroStation CADD and OpenRoads experience required. Ability to lead a project and technical staff, manage project schedules and budgets. Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production. Strong written and verbal communication skills and decision-making ability. Commitment to quality; self-directed, team-oriented, with high integrity. TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) desirable. Primavera (P6) experience desirable. The Halff Transportation Advantage
