Trayline and Room Service Assistant (20 Hours)

Responsibilities
Assemble patient meals as ordered through the At Your Service Room Service Dining system.
Prepare and stock food items to par levels in advance of peak meal periods.
Follow procedures for preparing special trays (Mechanical diets and other therapeutic diets).
Arrange designated work area/serving station with proper utensils, plates, etc.
Inform supervisor of menu item supply levels to avoid runouts and tray set‑up delays.
Deliver patient trays to Room Service Associates or nursing desks as needed.
Maintain proper levels of supplies/stock for assembly of trays.
Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, and equipment.
Examine filled trays for completeness and place them on cart.
Brews coffee and tea.
Adhere to all departmental Safety and Infection Control policies and procedures.
Record HACCP temperatures and assist in the dish room as needed.
Return clean/tray line equipment to the tray assembly area.
Prepare floor stock sheets, gather, deliver, and put away floor supplies.
Deliver patients’ meals directly to the patients on the nursing units.
Prepare patients’ bedside table for meal delivery and assist with container opening.
Track meals’ status using the At Your Request Room Service Dining scanner.
Retrieve soiled trays from patient rooms and return them to the dish room.
Inspect trays for patients’ belongings, medical devices or medications.
Communicate special needs or requests to the Customer Service Representative or managers.
Portion and label tube/special feedings/supplements accurately.
Maintain the clean and sanitary condition of the formulary room and equipment.
Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in‑service training.
Participate in safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
Attend training programs as designated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Some high school required; high school diploma or GED preferred.
0–1 years related work experience required.
Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate at a basic level within web‑based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Aware of food safety principles.
Experience in high‑volume food service establishment.
Customer service experience.
Basic cleaning and sanitation practice knowledge.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours as business dictates.
Compensation Pay range: $18.74 ‑ $25.22 per hour.
Additional Requirements All staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
