Sr. Supply Planning Manager – PrimeSource Building Products PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, reliable, and hard‑working Sr. Supply Planning Manager to join the team.

Pay Range Base pay: $90,000 – $120,000 per year. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

Provide functional and technical support for existing and future implementations of SAP APO integration with ECC Supply Chain and related modules.

Develop strategic plans to guide portfolio reliability and ensure continued service improvement.

Develop a team of supply planners to accurately supply plan for the full SAP horizon.

Produce a weekly supply plan via ERP (SAP‑APO or other) based on the latest consensus demand plan for all active SKUs.

Steer and manage team and outcomes via standardized weekly and monthly planning processes (S&OE, S&OP/SIOP).

Provide leadership to direct reports and team members: lead people, systems, and business process for supply chain management.

Review overall supply situation or assigned portfolio and continuously drive KPIs to improve fill rates, DC in‑stocks, SLTM/Deadstock, etc.

Lead a complex portfolio of products, including promotional volumes, diverse external manufacturing sites, alternate customer channels, and demand seasonality.

Lead special projects related to product launches, line extensions, and various supply chain initiatives.

Review and resolve tactical inventory rebalancing between distribution centers for key customers and manage new/phase‑out product inventory.

Drive scalable business processes and reporting to improve fill rates, reduce stock outs, and optimize inventory for product categories.

Contribute to the development and implementation of ERP‑based planning processes and demonstrate use of ERP and supply planning to improve department efficiency.

Work with Sourcing management to escalate supply shortages and secure supply.

Provide rolling forecast (by commodity / supplier) to enable supplier capacity planning.

Develop constant processes to review and update master data elements and system setups (lead times, stocking targets, order quantity, etc.) in SAP‑APO.

Monitor and provide actionable feedback on supplier performance.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, MBA, or related field.

Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, APIC, CIRM, CPSM, IBF, CSCMP, etc.

Experience: 5‑10 years in supply planning function at sizable companies.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Tier‑1 ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), ERP planning systems (SAP‑APO, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP‑IBP, other), and Microsoft Office suite.

Must reside in Irving, TX area (reporting to office Mon‑Thurs, WFH Friday).

Additional Essential Functions

Attendance/punctuality: consistently at work and on time; ensures responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
