JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Processing Agent is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The candidate should have experience in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, with at least 1 year of experience in a food production or similar manufacturing environment.

CORE JOB DUTIES

Scheduling resources across multiple activities – deboning, sifting, grading, final trim, etc. Performing initial bulk QC inspection of batches Reporting quality issues to Quality and Facility Director Creating and maintaining daily performance log and continuous improvement board Monitoring Dry Rooms, Cure Room, Processing space for appropriate temperature and humidity Entering harvest batches into ADP/POS system and appropriately inventorying batches Monitoring team productivity and adherence to time metrics Seed-to-sale software adjustments, moves, and transfers Approving timecards and time-off requests for agents in ADP Verifying weighing and logging of material Maintaining a sanitary work environment and cleaning logs for all processing workstations Reviewing outlook emails for new priorities or assignments Ensuring all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires Must have at least 1 year of experience in a food production or similar manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures Ability to measure, package and label in a precise manner Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment Exposure to plant material, including potential pollen and dust Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and perform repetitive actions with hands for long periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
