Well Operation Optimizations Engineer
Pay rate: $36/h-$42/h
Shift/Rotation: 2 weeks on X 2 weeks off, ~12 hours per day
Well Operations Optimization Engineers are trained to perform services across the Company's
Well Integrity and Drilling Performance
portfolios.
OptiWell services often serve as a central point to integrate data and models output from other services, regardless of the service provider on site.
They will be communicating with the client representatives and the rig personnel any information they have or need, regarding Wellbore integrity and Drilling performance, following a defined Standard Operating Procedure and reporting workflow process that will be developed between the company and the client.
Main responsibilities:
Monitor all real-time drilling/completion parameters per OptiWell workflow, detect anomalies, and communicate observations per defined communication protocol.
Provide a daily activity summary report.
Ensure compliance with the Client standard procedures and communication protocols.
Diagnose and analyze drilling operations issues, provide mitigation recommendations.
Identify and recommend opportunities for performance improvement, support timely implementation, including but not limited to better BHA design to minimize drilling shocks and vibrations, review & recommend best practices of special projects like ERD, MPD & UBD, and identify the waste time in current drilling practices & ways to efficiently drill at lower cost per ft.
Support and participate in Collaboration sessions (pre-spud meetings, morning meetings, after-action reviews, etc.).
Liaise with Client Drilling Engineers and other stakeholders as required.
Review pre-section model and expected parameters, recalibrate models if deemed necessary, and QA/QC pre-job data entry before lifting to advance monitoring analyst and ingestion in the real-time monitoring system.
Prepare a pre-job roadmap, integrating engineering models, risk and risk mitigation, best practices, and benchmark. These documents support rig operation and bridge the gap between the drilling team, rig site, and remote operation center.
Prepare summary reports for after-action reviews, including key observations, recommendations, etc.
Coach Client staff on the use of the real-time system to facilitate technology uptake.

The GSS Well Operations Analyst identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manages risk during service delivery.
This person monitors the well to provide timely and factual information to our customers; maintains sensors, equipment, and data acquisition equipment; and delivers high-quality data to the customer at the wellsite.
Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
Monitor, record, and process well data and parameters, ensuring the integrity and reliability of well data.
Compile the End of Well Report, ad hoc reports requested by customers, and daily reports.
Interact with personnel and customer representatives from other service companies professionally at the wellsite.
Maintain the confidentiality of customer's well data.
Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process.
Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
Maintain the required safety training.
